Head Instructor-WindSurf - Season 2009/2010

Job Description:

Head instructor is the only fixed instructor hired on a salary basis at ClubVentos. All other instructors are free-lancers and only get lessons assigned after head instructor slots become booked.

Apart from giving beginner and advanced lessons, Head instructor is also responsible for:

- Daily free clinic (30mins) to clients, with some windsurfing tips and technique. The goal is to both provide service as well as to trigger in clients the need to take a lesson to enhance their skills.
- Weekly video clinic: head instructor will film the clients along the day and present at happy hour (using projector and microphone), general tips for improvement of sailing technique and maneuvers. Happens once a week and is a great feature to integrate clients.
- Service to clients along the day: head instructor is expected to be available for general customer questions such as right equipment for the conditions or general spot tips.

Tipical work day:

- morning, early: beginner lessons
- late morning: daily free clinic
- afternoon: a mix of advanced lessons (stronger wind) and customer service. Once a week, production of video-clinic.

Conditions:

- Season: 15th July to 15th January. Can be broken in 2 half-seasons (at 15th October). Please specify which period you are interested when applying (1st half, 2nd half, or full season)
- Work: six days/ week., with one free hour for windsurfing every afternoon (adjusted to better suit Club’s needs)

- Salary:
 

• fixed part: to be informed after we receive your CV
• lesson commission: 40% over lesson prices

- Other points:
 

• 6 work days/week
• Lunch provided on work days
• One free hour for windsurfing every afternoon (adjusted to best suit Club’s needs)
• 20% discount on any purchase at the club
