ClubVentos proudly presents 3 natives boys from Jericoacoara, who will leave our little village for some months in 2008 to rock the beaches around world!
Here, you can read a short part of their story, whom behind brazilian riders like Ian Mouro (BRA-85) and Marcílio Brownzinho (BRA-105), could develop a better sail, learn and improve manoeuvres and be able to get into international championships.
We have seen these boys grow up during the development of ClubVentos. After our windsurfing center started, Jeri also started to receive a different kind of  tourists, who came to search for Jeri´s major attraction; the wind.
With the ClubVentos establishment of important contacts from abroad, more windsurfers started to come and Jericoacoara became consolidated as one of the best spots of the world for windsufing. This attracted riders, people involved with gears and sponsorships and, in this way, new opportunities raised for the locals who had the dream to become sponsored riders.

EXPECTATIONS: to participate of all the competitions, and get among the top 10 of PWA.

HISTORY: I started the windsurf practicing on the beginning of 2000, in Jericoacoara beach, with the help of Mauricio Gusella (Italy), whose always incentives the natives of Jericoacoara to begin the windsurf practice. In 2002, I had the chance to participate of my first championship, here in Jericoacoara, among the professional riders, such as: Kauli Seadi, Konan Lang and Ricardo Campello. During this time, I had a great evolution on freestyle due the capoeira training, which gave me agility.

TRAINING / EVOLUTION: Hard training with professional riders, such as Marcilio Browne (BRA-105 - Freestyle World Champion, 2007), Andre Paskoswki (G-2 - Freestyle European Champion), Normen Gunzlein (G-186 - 2º place on EFPT Championship). With those riders, I could develop new manoeuvres, which are important for the competitions.
After spend a long time trainning in Jericoacoara without a sponsorship, and it was very difficult to get into the competitions, nacional and internationals. Now with the help from the sponsors, the difficulties got eased. Now I have to improve the maneuvers and get more experience on competitions.

TRAINING / EVOLUTION: I had the opportunity to practice with some of the best of the world, such as Andre Paskowski (G-2) and Marcilio Browne (BRA-105), were I could improve my manoeuvres and try to be one of them.
Due the difficulty of getting sponsors, my training wasn´t close of the ideal, but now with their support and new gears, my evolution is excellent.

HISTORY: from walking sailor on the beach for international freestyle competitor, I began on windsurf in 1999, with the support on gears of Mauricio Gusella and Dudu Mazzocato, and on the next year I was into a competition which I won the first place. Now, I just want my sponsors and my friends to be proud of me and be part of the windsurf history.

TRAINING / EVOLUTION: I had the opportunity to practice with some of the best of the world, such as Andre Paskowski (G-2) and Marcilio Browne (BRA-105), were I could improve my manoeuvres.
Due the difficulty of getting sponsors, my training wasn´t close of the ideal, but now with new gears, my evolution is excellent.

HISTORY: I ustued to help Mauricio Gusella with the gears, bringing them to the beach and this made me enjoy windsurfing and start practicing in 2002, still on the same year, I got into a competition which I finished in 11º place. Since then, I´m improving my sail and do my best on competitions.
